The items below cover both events that are already committed to (with dates) to and those that still need to be firmed up, but which we hope to see happen this year. It is dynamic and more detail will be added as the year progresses.
Any suggestions for additional events, or offers of support to existing ones are warmly welcomed.
Gardening - Every Saturday and Wednesday throughout the year, plus Mondays in the summer.
Woodland conservation - Every Monday until early March with Parkwork, a Council-backed volunteer team.
Castle opening - Usually once a month on Sundays + Bank Holiday Mondays and when other events on in Blaise.
Dairy Garden Opening - every Sunday from June to end Aug.
Crafternoons - once a month, with special ones at Halloween, Christmas and Easter.
Plant Sales – throughout the year on Saturdays in the Community Garden.
March - Wildflower meadow seed planting on Castle Hill.
April - Easter Egg Hunt (in conjunction with the Museum).
8th June - Goram's Fair.
Mid June - AGM with Speaker (often on some wildlife topic)
22 June - Food Connections, Garden Open Day.
July - Bristol Wind Band Orchestra.
3rd August - Archaeology Day. Local history brought to life in the museum, historical re-enactments in the park, as well as walks and talks on and to local historical landmarks including the castle folly.
August - Fairy doors day, Very popular in past years with young children.
14th September - Doors Open Day. City-wide initiative for which Castle, Dairy and Kitchen Garden all open.
