Friends of Blaise

40 years of Conserving, Improving, Promoting

the Latest @blaise

The Estate remains open to the public although the castle and house are closed for the winter and are planned to reopen in the spring. Please remain alert to the need for social distancing, be aware that the path through the Estate and the cafe area does get congested particularly in dry weather, the car park can also fill up quickly especially when the overflow car park is closed.

For volunteers, a range of new opportunities have now become available - see Facebook for the latest information and events page for general information. Please consider lending your support to these events. Our two professional Rangers cannot keep this beautiful landscape safe, tidy and well managed without volunteer help! It would be also immensely helpful if you could take your litter home with you, to avoid the bins overflowing.

We hope you and your family enjoy a terrific day out, discovering all aspect of this wonderful rural setting.

Please keep an eye out here and on our Facebook page for the latest volunteering opportunities.

The Friends of Blaise were formed in 1981 to restore the castle to its former glory after it had once again fallen into disrepair. We aim to open the castle on the third sunday of each month from March to October and on bank holidays.
